Connections – a powerful Workshop (offered at Kembali)

While Kembali Recovery Center is, first and foremost, a rehab, what makes it so unique are its offerings. Okay, it’s also located in paradise, but that’s just the icing in the cake. Yes, Kembali operates within a relatively traditional, tried-and-true recovery program model, but they also have a very specialized blueprint. And because the owners are in recovery themselves, they have firsthand experience with what can really be effective. Of course, different strokes for different folks, but we know that clients are only going to choose a recovery center that resonates, so it all begins at signup.

One of Kembali’s most unique and special offerings is a powerful two-day introspective workshop called Connections, founded by the visionary leader and self-described “change facilitator”, Terry Lige. Kembali owners, Deb and Clay, were personally trained by Lige himself to become Connections facilitators and have currently hosted more than 25 Connections workshops at the center. They invite both clients and members of the community (at food cost) to participate.

Connections workshops are built around experiential learning where participants engage in exercises, games, and various processes aimed at self-discovery and growth. It’s a dynamic environment where people can connect, learn, and evolve together while individually developing their self-awareness.

The feedback Kembali has received about Connections has been nothing but positive. Many even describe these workshops as life-changing. It’s a truly transformational experience and something that can really enhance a person’s recovery program as well. Participants come out of Connections workshops feeling empowered, motivated, and like they can live their lives more freely. The workshops have also helped many individuals to greatly improve their personal relationships. This is one of the primary objectives of Connections – developing or improving our ability to connect and relate with others while showing up as our most authentic selves.

Terry Lige has an interesting background. He holds a Masters of Divinity (Major in Counseling) from Regent College in British Columbia having formerly worked as a lead and associate pastor in five churches before pursuing personal development. He ultimately left the church because he wanted to help build more diverse communities with people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures. This is why he began creating Connections workshops and retreats back in 1997, and he’s never looked back.

Terry believes that self-awareness is the key to success in all areas of our lives. His workshops are ideal for anyone looking to improve their relationship with themselves and others, restore a sense of passion in their lives, and to grow alongside a group of inspired peers. So, really, there’s a little something for everyone. If you’re lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend a Connections workshop while visiting Bali or as a Kembali client, you’re certainly in for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
