How To Identify An Alcohol Use Disorder
People who have alcohol problems tend to find so many excuses to warrant their intake of the substance. Serious dependence can come with consuming larger amounts, often in secret and in denial of any problem related to alcohol use, neglecting personal responsibilities, withdrawing from social activities, pressurising and straining relationships, or showing signs of withdrawal symptoms like sweating or shaking when effects wear off.
Every person is different and doesn’t necessarily show all these signs, but if one or two of them appear, it is always best to seek professional help as a preventative measure before symptoms spiral out of control. Any sign of alcohol poisoning or overdose must be addressed immediately due to the elevated risk of the individual losing consciousness or having a cardiac arrest.
